Alan Beers

Physiotherapist & First Contact Practitioner

Based at Long Eaton, Pride Park

Alan is based at both our Long Eaton and Derby Arena clinics and also part of our FCP team, based at Littlewick Medical Centre.

After qualifying as a chartered physiotherapist in 1999 Alan spent the best part of 15 years in the NHS covering a variety of specialities before settling into out-patient work in GP practices in Leicester. He spent over 10 years in the GP physio team, becoming Clinical Team Lead before relocating to Derby and to private practice.

In recent years Alan has worked in Occupational Health teams around the East Midlands focussing on keeping staff fit and working, or assisting them to return to work as soon as possible. He has a side-interest in performing arts medicine. Alan now works with us full-time at Impact, part of our FCP team and in clinic.

    I’ve been seeing Alan Beers for an issue I’ve had with my shoulder. He’s a great guy and extremely knowledgeable. I left the session with a good understanding of what had been going wrong and a realistic plan to manage my recovery. The results have been excellent

    Alan is excellent, friendly and a pleasure to visit. He has given me the exercises I need to help my knee get better. After just over a month and two sessions doing the exercises, I am getting far less pain than I was before.

    I went to the doctor with a shoulder problem and was referred very quickly to Impact Physiotherapy at Pride Park. I saw Phil Tranter and Alan Beers who were excellent in treating the issue and giving me advice on different exercises. Over the course of the sessions my shoulder problem went away and I am very grateful to Phil and Alan for their help. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of physiotherapy.

    I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. Alan the physio really helped me. He put me at ease from the first appointment. He helped me to get back a good standard of living, as I was struggling to do even some simple tasks. The receptionists were always friendly and helpful and sent me helpful appointment reminders.

    I had 8 sessions with physiotherapist Alan Green to try to improve the movement in my left shoulder. Alan proved to be a very capable man and my shoulder has improved considerably thanks to him. Before my sessions I was taking painkillers to ensure a good nights sleep, now I am pain free. I continue to practice the exercises Alan taught me and have experienced further improvement. Prior to one of the sessions I had a phone call advising me to arrive early as the car park was very full. The advice was much appreciated.

    Excellent service. appointment and easy online booking Alan my therapist listened to my explanation and problems and after an examination came up with a treatment plan. After 4 visits and at home exercises I am now pain free and also have a plan to keep further problems at bay. Would definitely recommend either Long Eaton or Derby arena.

    I recently attended Impact Physio for treatment on my neck & shoulder. Impact Physio based at Pride Park, Derby was easy to get to with plenty of parking located at Derby Arena. I was treated by Alan Beer from Impact Physio over several months. I was made to feel comfortable throughout the Physio session & found the treatment helpful for my condition. I would highly recommend Impact Physio.
