Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This policy explains how Impact Physio collects and uses your personal information when you use this website, contact us or book with us.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that any personal information you provide is handled securely and lawfully. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have in relation to your personal information.
1. Information We May Collect
We may collect and process the following types of personal data:
Name and job title
Contact details (including email address and telephone number)
Demographic information (e.g. postcode, preferences, interests)
Other information relevant to enquiries, customer surveys, or offers
IP address and browser type (via cookies)
How you found our website and the pages you looked at, if you allow analytics cookies (see section 4)
2. How We Use Your Information
The data we collect helps us understand your needs and allows us to deliver and improve our services. In particular, we may use your information for:
Internal record keeping
Improving our products and services
Sending promotional emails about new services, offers, or other updates (only if you have opted in)
Contacting you for market research purposes (by email, phone, or post)
Customising our website to match your interests
We only process your data where we have a legal basis to do so, such as your consent or our legitimate interest in operating and improving our services.
3. Security of Your Data
We take your data security seriously. Appropriate physical, technical, and managerial safeguards are in place to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. Some websites also use similar storage in your browser (“local storage”). In this section we call both of them cookies.
Some cookies are essential: the website needs them to work, so they are always on. We only use the others if you agree. When you first visit, a box at the bottom of the screen asks you to choose:
Accept allows all the cookies listed below.
Reject allows only the essential ones.
Cookie settings lets you switch Functional, Analytics and Marketing cookies on or off separately.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, here or at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your permission, those cookies stop being used from then on and we delete our own. We can’t delete cookies that another company (such as Google) has already set on its own website. You can remove those in your browser’s settings, where you can also block or delete cookies. Parts of our website may not work as they should without them.
Essential (always on)
stcm.consent.essential, stcm.consent.functional, stcm.consent.analytics, stcm.consent.marketing, stcm.hasConsented (local storage), set by Impact Physio: remembers your cookie choices, so we don’t ask again on every page. Kept until you change your choices or clear your browser’s storage.
__cf_bm, set by Cloudflare, for our website host: tells real visitors apart from automated programs, to protect the website. Lasts 30 minutes.
Staff who log in to manage the website also get WordPress’s own login cookies.
Functional (only if you allow them)
Our Instagram feed and the Google maps on our website come from other companies, which set their own cookies. If you don’t allow Functional cookies, they don’t load. Press Show our Instagram posts or Show the map to load just that item for your visit.
elfsight_viewed_recently, _cfuvid, set by Elfsight, which shows our Instagram posts: counting views of the feed, and protecting Elfsight’s service from misuse. They last until you close your browser.
NID and other Google cookies, set by Google (Google Maps): Google may set these when a map loads, for example to remember your preferences. They last up to 6 months.
Analytics (only if you allow them)
_ga, and _ga_ followed by a code, set by Google Analytics: counting visits and the pages people use, so we can improve the website. Google Analytics doesn’t tell us who you are. They last up to 2 years.
_gid, _gat_UA-515868-32, set by Google Analytics (its older version): as above. They last 24 hours and 1 minute.
cmvt_visit, cmvt_first, cmvt_last, cmvt_ids, and cmvt_path (local storage), set by Impact Physio: remembers how you found our website (for example a Google search, social media or one of our adverts) and the pages you looked at. If you then send us an enquiry through the website, this is sent with it, so we can see which of our marketing works. Kept for 90 days after your last visit (cmvt_path: until the end of your visit).
Marketing (only if you allow them)
_gcl_au, and _gcl_ls (local storage), set by Google Ads: tells us when someone who clicked one of our adverts goes on to book or get in touch. They last 90 days.
test_cookie (on doubleclick.net), set by Google Ads: checks that your browser accepts cookies. It lasts 15 minutes.
Google may also use its own cookies to show our adverts to people who have visited our website.
Google Analytics and Google Ads are loaded by Google Tag Manager, which doesn’t load at all until you allow Analytics or Marketing cookies. If you allow Analytics but not Marketing, Google Ads sets no cookies and your visit isn’t used to show you adverts.
Videos
Some of our news articles include YouTube videos. They show the video’s picture and a play button, and nothing loads from YouTube until you press it. The video then plays from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com), which may store information in your browser. The videos on our home page come from Bunny.net, which sets no cookies.
