I attended Impact because of chronic pain from an old ankle fracture. Sally Moore was the physio. She quickly established bad walking traits and identified posture weaknesses. She advised me of various directed exercises and recommended better walking techniques. I have followed her advice over 10 weeks and have noticed quantitive improvements in my gait and a diminishing of the chronic pain. Sally’s advice has formed part of my daily routine from which I will benefit. Sally was courteous and totally professional during my consultations at Impact.

Really pleased with my treatment which was a combination of exercise and manual therapy. The issue has resolved and if it was to occur again I would feel confident to manage it. Thank you.

Very special thanks to Fiona

I was pretty fed up with not being able to walk very well. Needed my crutches even around the house. I knew once I came to you. It would get better . Sally was brilliant explaining what I needed to do , how to do it what equipment I needed. Confident now to keep doing what she taught me that it will continue to improve. Thank you all

After a GP referral earlier in the year, I was really impressed by the friendly and professional manner I received my consultations and exercise regime online. The staff are always conscientious and punctual.
I would certainly recommend their services to family and friends.

I worked with Jenny who was incredibly helpful and supportive. I did pelvic floor physio with her and it’s changed my life! My struggles and pain felt acknowledged and I couldn’t recommend her enough. I was always seen on time and felt like the sessions were very good value for money for how much they have helped me.

Very very helpful and friendly staff. Easy parking. Only one very small criticism is that the treatment rooms that I went to were on the first floor which was difficult fir me at that time. Otherwise everything was very good and I would be very happy to use again if a need arises.

Having long term back pain is not easy and same goes for three discectomies. Initially my physiotherapist was chosen for me by a spinal surgeon and I went with his choice but after meeting Louise and going through her 1:1 sessions I ended up attending the Long Eaton clinic for the last six years.
Louise has an impressive knowledge base and will always find a way to keep you mobile even when you feel you won’t ever be able to move normal . During the years we worked together on my back she attended many courses and conferences and her skills make it so that , somehow, we still rarely repeat an exercise and I am sure there are many more to discover. She worked her “magic” on me so many times that I now only trust her with my recovery from yet another discectomy.
Due to her skills I managed to lead a normal life, I was able to keep my job which can be quite strenuous , I travelled long distances by plane or car , basically kept active.
My admiration for Louise is endless. Not only she is an excellent physiotherapist and Pillates instructor, but she is also a wonderful human being ,who in this day and age has maintained empathy and compassion for the suffering of those around her.
I wouldn’t want to miss Laura and Sandy and the whole reception team from this review . Thank you for your help and support over the years ladies!
It is much appreciated.

I have attended Impact Physio several times over the years for joint problems.
From reception to physio s the staff are very polite and treat you with respect.
The physios share there experience in treatments and together a plan is agreed.
The treatment rooms at Long Eaton and Derby Arena are clean and well equipped.

My daughter was referred by her GP and we had 2 appointments with Louise. She was brilliant and really good with my 8 year old daughter. Both appointments were thorough and my daughter was shown lots of different exercises to do at home with explanations of how they would help her. We also had emails showing the exercises in videos as well. The appointments were during ‘covid times’ as well and we felt very safe.

Very good.
My physio, Chris was excellent. I was quite distressed with sciatica issues, Chris was not only knowledgeable and skillful but was also calm and reassuring at a time when this was very much needed.
His massage and advice and stretching or exercise programmes set, all helped to get me back to living my life again. My sciatica issues are ongoing but I am managing things better then I thought possible before physio with Chris.

I was referred by my GP with back pain. All sessions were carried out via zoom which worked exceptionally well and I was really grateful to Louise who was my physiotherapist. Her kindness and help were excellent and I would thoroughly recommend Impact Physiotherapy to anyone.
With many thanks.

I’ve struggled with lower back pain for years and sought help through the NHS and it kept coming back consistently. I was reluctant to pay for physio after my history with NHS ones and thinking it would be the same outcome, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I had two sessions with Anneliese and my back has never felt better. She figured out exactly what was wrong and how to remedy it. Incredibly knowledgeable and a lovely person too, can’t recommend her enough!

Sally was absolutely brilliant! There was an improvement in the pain and movement in my shoulder and arm immediately, but Sally continued to work with me for another 6 sessions and the improvements continued until we were both ready for a discharge. I actually enjoyed my sessions as Sally was such good fun. Would highly recommend.

I was referred to Impact Physiotherapy by my GP last year after experiencing back and neck pain for a considerable amount of time.
The physiotherapist I saw for the duration of my treatment was Sally Moore.
Sally was amazing!
I was treated during the session and given an exercise program to follow at home. I was also advised on the changes I could make including the way I sit at work, pillow positioning, type of bag I carry and feel so much better now. After being in pain and discomfort for such a long time I feel great!

Even though all my appointments were carried out over the phone due to COVID 19 , I felt I had excellent service. My physio – Anneliese regularly updated my program, e-mailing videos which were easy to follow and I felt she really listened to me and my concerns. Over the space of 4 months I’ve gone from virtually no movement in my shoulders and arms to almost back to normal and from being in a lot of pain to almost pain free. Many thanks.

I was referred by my GP and Sally was my ‘ appointed person’. She quickly diagnosed my problem and gave me some exercises to alleviate my pain. I am very happy to say that I have had a massive improvement in my mobility.
Safety measures due to the Covid situation were in place.
I have no hesitation in reccomending this clinic.
Thank you Sally.

Excellent service provided, very prompt communication when having to rearrange appointments, never a problem with parking, as for the therapists I found to be excellent at setting out programs after diagnosis and able to assist in answering question related to your issues.

When I was referred to physiotherapy I was a little sceptical as my discomfort was so severe. My therapist was extremely thorough in diagnosing my issues and created a set of easy exercises to complement the fortnightly treatments. After a few weeks my pain eased and my range of movement increased dramatically, I’m so impressed with the results from my therapist. My issues are fixed and I am now pain free and no operation was needed!

I was referred by my G.P following an M.R.I of my back. Feeling so stiff and in considerable pain I was prepared to try anything. I have a complex household and committing to any appointments regularly would normally be tricky. A positive from the pandemic meant I was to access my physio through telephone calls (don’t answer “capital give me the cash”) and a skype video call.
I am extremely grateful to Sally for the totally professional support I received. This along with Sally’s sense of humour and genuine compassion I have achieved more than I thought possible.
Sally may now picture a monkey bone instead of coccyx and my past rising from a chair like the ape to man to evolution image. I am much better now! This lovely lady is so reassuring and good at keeping focus on her patients.
The app that I was encouraged to download meant I could obtain my physio plan when I wanted, the helpful videos and tick charts helped me with motivation at first.
If I needed to communicate in-between sessions emailing or phoning the office was easy and always responded to quickly.
I wouldn’t ever hesitate to recommend Impact Physio or take up further sessions should my condition worsen.
Am honestly so grateful for the whole approach!

I Initially had face to face physiotherapy after a GP referral at Park farm medical centre with Jo, I was very pleased with the treatment I received from Jo, things slowly started to improve for me. However the situation changed due to the COVID-19 government guidelines restricting face to face contact.
I then received ‘Zoom’ consultations with Louise Leeming, I have to say these consultations worked very well. Louise was able to assess my problems over Zoom and offer excellent advice and treatment plans for me. I felt this was very person centred. I love the exercise plans that Louise emailed to me, I am able to refer back to the plan to make sure I’m doing the exercises correctly. I feel moving forward Zoom would be an efficient and effective way of assessment and treatment of patients, in between those face to face contacts. Thank you Louise and Jo for providing excellent knowledge, care and treatment.

I have had wonderful treatment from the physiotherapist. She has made my recovery from a knee replacement op extremely successful. She has also made the experience enjoyable even if hard work. I do not think I would be nearly as well off without her help. Even in lockdown I have continued treatment via Zoom and have found this very useful in keeping up my exercise and also for my mental health.

I had been struggling with neck and shoulder pain for months, and nothing was easing this, attending physio with fiona was so helpful, she was able to give me treatment and advise at each session, and exercise to do in-between visits which helped release the tension in my neck and shoulder, each session was greeted with a smiling face and fiona listen carefully to what I had to say and was able to give me positive advise. I always came away feeling positive. I have now finished my sessions and have got a plan and excersie to ensure my problem is kept manageable. I would like to say thankyou to Fiona, and would recommend impact physio.

Following a referral from my GP, I saw Sally Moore who is a lovely lady. She put a lot of effort into establishing the source of my issue rather than simply addressing the effect. I found her to be very knowledgeable and engaging. Having followed her advice and with her encouragement I was soon on the mend. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sally.

Had a bad fall and twisted my left knee causing me severe lack of mobility. The Long Eaton clinic kindly fitted me in with a same day appointment.
Saw physio Phil Tranter who was very reassuring in his approach.
Some three sessions along with an exercise routine has virtually cured the problem . Just need to carry on with the exercises .
I found very helpful that the exercise routine was sent on a video .
Would recommend without any hesitation.

Though I came to you for my physio treatments, I was received by a good hospitality welcome by your reception ladies.
The second physiologist who saw me is excellent. She first diagnosed my body to try and establish the real cause of pain. The first therapist did not diagonise me fully. Her treatment though it’s only a few days now but I can see some improvements.

I suffered a trapped nerve which caused a tingling down my left arm and a severe itch on the palm of my hand. It took the Physio no more than 2 minutes to find the problem at the base of my neck and about 10 minutes to devise a series of excercises lasting no more than 15 minutes a day. Within 4 weeks the problem has completely gone. Well done and thank you.
