Pelvic Health

We can help to restore strength, movement and function within the pelvic area.

Jenny Horrigan, our experienced chartered pelvic health physiotherapist, specialises in the detailed assessment and management of a range of pelvic health problems for women and men.

Your first appointment

Your first appointment will be held in a private setting to discuss your pelvic health problems in detail and also screen for any other pelvic floor related issues. We understand that this can be sensitive information that some people find difficult to discuss, but Jenny has an empathetic ear- and you are unlikely to say anything she hasn’t heard and helped manage before!

If appropriate you will be given options of a physical examination, which could include an internal examination for a pelvic floor problem. An internal vaginal or back passage assessment is available if appropriate.

As at least 30% of women do not perform the pelvic floor exercise correctly, an examination is encouraged but not compulsory and your wishes will be respected.
